Detroit’s John Lewis Memorial Freedom Ride

Motive Force will cohost this event with the Metro 313 Cyclones this Saturday. July 17, 2021 on the event of Representative Lewis’ birthday. 20 mile leisure paced ride from the 12th Police Precinct on Seven Mile just east of Pontchatrain and west of Woodward. A fun friendly paced route is planned. Meet up is at the Detroit Police Department’s 12th Precinct at 8:30 am with the ride stepping off at 9:00 am (ample parking is available).

This ride offers an opportunity to effect change to assure our freedoms and voting rights by supporting, via donations the day of the ride or electronically, the:

The John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation was conceived by the Congressman to carry on the Lewis’ passion for purposeful living, civic engagement and building the “beloved community,” and to inspire and support GoodTroublemakers everywhere. We are now the keepers and the promoters of the Lewis legacy, focused on democracy and voting, youth civic engagement and building bridges.
